The California State Council on Developmental Disabilities (SCDD) invites you to register and participate in the February 2022 California Statewide Self-Advocacy Chat. SCDD encourages those who are interested to join in the conversation!
What/Why: The “California Statewide Self-Advocacy Chats” are intended to give self-advocates throughout California the chance to talk about topics that matter to them. Resources on chat topics may be shared by email.
When: The third Wednesday of each month.
The February 2022 California Statewide Self-Advocacy Chat will be held on Wednesday, February 16th @ 11:00 A.M.
This month’s topic: Understanding Different Relationships
The February Chat will include a brief presentation on Understanding Different Relationships by Peter Mendoza, SCDD Community Program Specialist II, followed by a discussion on the topic. In preparation for the February Chat, advocates are encouraged to share any questions they might have about understanding relationships. Some questions to think about for this month’s Chat:
What relationships are important to you?
Do you have trouble telling the difference between different types of relationships?
Please share any advice that you have on understanding relationships.
