In honor of CalOptima’s 20th anniversary, the CalOptima Employee Activities Committee (EAC) is offering a scholarship opportunity to reflect their commitment to Orange County’s children. CalOptima welcomes entries from students pursuing careers in health care or social services. High school seniors and future or current college students may apply. The scholarships will be funded solely through EAC fundraising activities, and no public money will be used. Three scholarships will be awarded to students who write compelling replies to short essay questions about their experience with CalOptima and their interest in health care or social services. The top winner will also be entered into a national scholarship program organized by the Association for Community Affiliated Plans, an organization to which CalOptima belongs. Applications are available to download. Act fast — the deadline to enter is Friday, April 29, 2016.
