UNITED WAY RELIEF ASSISTANCE PANDEMIC RELIEF FUND
The United Way Pandemic Relief Fund may be able to offer one-time, temporary financial help to individuals who qualify. This program issues gift cards from $200 – $500 for those who qualify by the following criteria:
- 18 years and older
- One application per household
- Must have experienced change to employment status due to COVID-19
- Has not previously received any funds from Orange County United Way’s Pandemic Relief Fund
- Individuals applying for the program must have an email account or create an email account
For additional details on the program or to submit an application, you need to contact the 2-1-1 Contact Center. This can be done by dialing 2-1-1, texting your zip code to 898211, or by sending an email to help@211oc.org.

IHSS HOTLINE FOR RECIPIENTS DURING COVID-19 CRISIS
Hotline addresses immediate, essential needs for program recipients.
Orange County, Calif. (April 22, 2020) – The County of Orange Social Services Agency (SSA) announced today the availability of a dedicated hotline for current recipients of In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS). Hotline staff are now available to discuss recipients’ urgent needs amid the COVID19 crisis and Governor Newsom’s subsequent stay-at-home order to prevent the further spread of illness.
Orange County IHSS recipients are encouraged to call at (714) 825-3000 and press option 4 if they have an immediate need (needed within three days from the initial call to the hotline) for food or other essential items. The hotline is available during business hours, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Callers will be connected with SSA staff who will further assess the recipient’s needs and provide linkages and access to appropriate programs and services.
