Beacon Day School in La Palma was founded in 2004 and has an exceptional program for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related disorders. The program utilizes an integrative approach combining therapies with academic and behavioral interventions. It is K-12 with transition programs for individuals up to 22 years of age. School districts and families in a wide radius send children to Beacon Day School through IEP recommendations. Through educational care and behavioral support students are able to maximize their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical abilities. Participation of parents, families, and the community are essential to enhancing the quality of life for students so they may be productive members of the community.
