This anonymous survey is for a parent of a child with ASD who is between the ages of 6 – 25 years old. It takes 10-15 minutes to complete this questionnaire, and completion is voluntary. Your responses to this questionnaire are instrumental to better understanding how gender identity develops in individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and will help us to better assist individuals with ASD who may have gender-related concerns and their families. The way in which children and adolescents with ASD develop their gender identity remains under-examined, and your responses to this questionnaire will help us to better assist children and adolescents with ASD who may have gender-related concerns.
This research study has been approved by the Institutional Review Board of Northwell Health, and a copy of this approval is available upon request (aadesman@northwell.edu).
We thank you in advance for your participation in our study! Since we are interested in getting as large and representative sample of families as possible for this study, we would be most grateful if you would also forward this information to other parents of children ages 6 – 25 years old with ASD.
