This study will evaluate an investigational medication to potentially improve social communication and interactions in adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Social communication difficulties are a core symptom of ASD. Researchers are trying to find out if this investigational medication can improve social communication skills in adolescents and young adults with ASD.
In this study, all participants will receive study medication for a period of time, either at the beginning or the end of the study period.
Study Participation Involves:
Participation includes a total of 10 in-person study visits and 4 phone calls.
- 1 in-person screening visit
- Taking an investigation medication
- 8 in-person visits during study treatment
- 4 phone call visits
- 1 in-person follow up
Eligibility Requirements Include:
- Ages 12-21 (both males and females)
- Individuals must have an autism diagnosis
