Description
We at the Center for Autism Research Excellence (CARE) are currently enrolling interested families to participate in the Predicting and Optimizing Language Outcomes (POLO) research program. POLO aims to investigate different patterns of language development in young children. We are recruiting both neurotypically developing children and children with autism.
This research includes cognitive-behavioral testing, non-invasive brain testing with EEG, motor testing, and optional saliva collection for DNA testing. The first timepoint of the study can typically be completed in up to four (3-4 hour) visits to our Boston University location. Some children will be invited to return to our lab at 6 and 12 months after the first visit.
We offer compensation for every visit to our location as well as free parking and childcare for any sibling(s) who might attend.
Here at CARE, our work focuses on minimally verbal children on the autism spectrum. If you have any questions regarding this research or your child’s ability to participate, please feel free to email us at polo@bu.edu.
