This Employment Tool Kit helps you research, find and keep employment in the current, competitive labor market. Stories, tips and resources were developed from a collaboration of people, including adults with autism, dedicated to increasing the employment participation of adults on the spectrum.
Although this Employment Tool Kit is geared towards you, we know that families, transition coordinators, vocational rehabilitation staff, business leaders and anyone who is helping someone with autism find and keep employment will also find this resource helpful.

CALOPTIMA 20TH ANNIVERSARY SCHOLARSHIP CONTEST FOR MEMBERS
In honor of CalOptima’s 20th anniversary, the CalOptima Employee Activities Committee (EAC) is offering a scholarship opportunity to reflect their commitment to Orange County’s children. CalOptima welcomes entries from students pursuing careers in health care or social services. High school seniors and future or current college students may apply. The scholarships will be funded solely through EAC fundraising activities, and no public money will be used. Three scholarships will be awarded to students who write compelling replies to short essay questions about their experience with CalOptima and their interest in health care or social services. The top winner will also be entered into a national scholarship program organized by the Association for Community Affiliated Plans, an organization to which CalOptima belongs. Applications are available to download. Act fast — the deadline to enter is Friday, April 29, 2016.

Top Flight Street Hockey League for Kids with Special needs
The Ducks’ Top Flight Street Hockey League serves 10-15 players each season. Located in Huntington Beach Inline on Friday nights during the fall, winter and spring. Free skills clinics are offered once a month during the summer months to keep players at the rink connected to the game. Players are paired with volunteer aides if they require extra assistance.
