PROaupair’s caregivers are attuned to a child’s individual needs and use their extensive training to ensure each child can reach his or her full potential. They provide high quality, skilled care depending upon the child’s diagnosis – implementing therapy homework, creating routines, and generally providing a warm, supportive environment.
New Vista School
New Vista School is a 501(c)(3), WASC accredited independent school serving the needs of students with ASD in grades 6-12 and beyond. Our mission is to provide a structured, safe environment of academic, social, and transition skills instruction for students within the autism community that prepare them for success in life. Students benefit from participation in clubs, Venture Crew scouting, drama, and career pathways STEM courses, with dual credit college courses for upper grades.
Autism Emotion and the Family Research Study
This study examines how children’s biologically-based emotional patterns predict strengths and challenges in everyday functioning, and what caregivers can do to help. Looking for children between the ages of 6 and 10 who have been diagnosed with ASD. Participation includes a parent-child laboratory visit at CSUF, and parent completion of questionnaires.
Families will receive $75 for their time.

Desire Home Care
Regional Center In-Home Respite Care Services are in homecare services provided to individuals with developmental disability, such as Autism, to relieve their primary caregivers. The purpose is to provide respite for family caregivers who often have other children and responsibilities to balance and to help the individual with disability to continue to live at home. We seek to improve the quality of life for families by providing a dependable respite worker or caregiver to provide 1:1 care.
Social Skills Training with Dogs
Do you suspect or does your child have an Autism Spectrum Disorder? Are you interested in social skills training with dogs to help your child?
The University of California at Irvine under Dr. Sabrina Schuck is conducting a new study for children who have or may have ASD. In this study, children will have the opportunity to engage in an interactive environment, which will promote their social skills, self-esteem, and self‐regulation skills. This study involves weekly social skills training sessions with experienced and certified therapy dogs. If you are interested, you and your child may be eligible to participate.
The first study session will be this Thursday July 14th. Participants will meet every Thursday for 6 weeks, ending on August 18th.
- Children between the ages of 7 and 9 who have or may have ASD
- 6 Social Skills Training sessions and 6 Behavioral Parent Training sessions are available at no cost to you
2016 Disability Benefit Guide
The Simple Dollar recently investigated the Social Security Disabilities Benefits and in the course of their research, found that most people who have become or already living with disabilities are not fully aware of the benefits and resources that are available to them. Their team spent weeks reviewing the US Social Security Administration’s documentation to develop their 2016 Disability Benefit Guide. This guide breaks down qualifications and the application process, as well as a provides a calculator that can help estimate monthly and annual benefits.

Autism Service Dogs: Cell Dogs, Inc.
This program rescues dogs from shelters and assigns each dog to a prisoner who trains the dog with the assistance of professional trainers.

Sexual Safety Issues for People with ASD’s: Video
